Training ride #4

Once again we will be partnering with Life Time Cycle Club to prepare for the Reston Bike Century. Our fourth training ride will feature three groups.  The "A" group will average around 19 MPH.  The "B" Group will average above 16.5 MPH. The "C" Group will serve both as a training group and a teaching group.  We will focus on how to ride safely in groups. The "C" group will average above 14 MPH.

On July 5, we will be doing one of the most popular bike routes in the metropolitan area.  We will start at Glen Echo Park and ride to Poolesville, MD.  This is a moderately hilly route with a total of 47 miles.  Below is the cue sheet for the ride:

Reston Bicycle Club welcomes bicycling-related organizations and non-profits to apply for a grant to further their work. The Club will provide up to $1000 per approved grant. Grants are reviewed at the next Executive Board Meeting following the request. Candidates will be informed of grant decision after the meeting.
