Join RBC for this family-friendly tour of Reston's holiday lights. Led by a veteran of this type of ride, the ride will be slower paced, have frequent stops, and is designed to enjoy the scenery. It will use Reston paved pathways and quiet streets and travel approximately 10 miles.
Riders will meet at Lake Anne at 4:45pm, to ride at 5pm. All riders must sign (or have already signed for 2018) a liability waiver. The first ride with us is free. We welcome you to join us on subsequent rides as a member. Membership is $25 per year and you can take care of that by going to www.restonbikeclub.org
ALL RIDERS MUST HAVE A LIABILITY WAIVER ON FILE. If you have not executed one this season (or are a guest and this is your first time riding with us), please do so by clicking 2018 Liability Waiver .
Riders must have a white headlight and a red tail light on their bicycle. Children who can maintain a speed of 10mph and ride for 5 miles are welcome with their parent or guardian. Be advised: there are some hills on the paths that can make riding with an attached trailer or bike challenging. You are definitely encouraged to "light up" your bike with holiday lights and anything else that is festive and increases drivers' ability to see you!
The ride will be cancelled in the event of rain or snow or if the temperature is below 35 degrees with winds over 12 mph.
