As part of RBC's continuous outreach to our community, we're asking members to please consider bringing an item or two to the annual meeting to donate to the South Lakes High School Pantry. Club members who are involved with the Pantry will be on hand to receive all items and answer questions about it. More info (including particular needs) can be found here.

We will also have a guest speaker, Jill Patterson from Peaks Coaching Group. Jill began cycling only 12 years who while living in Japan, and found it a wonderful way to explore the island. As her endurance built and she became more confident, she was recruited by a semi-professional Japanese women's team and raced all throughout Japan, Thailand, China, and the U.S. When she returned to the U.S., she joined Artemis, a women's cycling club team, and picked up racing again. She attempted her first Gran Fondo in 2017 (in Frederick) and placed second! Jill became inspired by the coaching and training she had received during her cycling journey and decided to join Peaks Coaching Group at the end of 2018. Her hard work has paid off; this year she won the GFNY World Championship in a major upset to a cyclist from Columbia. She also climbed Pikes Peak in August and her ride was featured in Bicycling Magazine. She'll share with us her experience and her top tips for training and optimizing performance.
