Ramble? What is? A leisurely tour with combination of roads and the W&OD exploring new places discovered during the pandemic and our old RBC routes.
This is the Tour de Hunter Mill redux. A lovely 20-miler that highlights how to navigate the Hunter Mill district. Need to drop off your car at Tysons? Need to discover a great secret cut through or how to get back to the W&OD from Wolf Trap. This route will do it! We'll meet away from the shops near the Dunkin.
Short route! If you want to do a shorter route missing the fun hills of Vienna, search the Route Library for "Tour" and pin or download the split route (Part B). This route will return you to the shopping plaza (2.9 miles).
The average speed of this ride is no more than 12 mph: leisurely. It is a good ride for retired, daytime free, new to cycling, or happy people. Could be considered a base miles ride.
Rides are not held when the forecast for rain is greater than 50%. Ride cancellations will be posted on Social Media.
We are paper-free, which means you can download the route from RidewithGPS and print it before you come, but we will not have paper cue sheets to distribute at the ride.
All riders must sign (or have already signed for 2021) a liability waiver. You can do that HERE. The first ride with us is free. We welcome you to join us on subsequent rides as a member. Membership is $25 per year and you can take care of that HERE.
