If you've not tried gravel, this is your chance! Join RBC for our first gravel specific group ride taking advantage of Loudoun County’s gravel network. Led by Ramsey Hanna, you'll go 59% unpaved and 41% paved.
Start is at Rust Library in Leesburg. Please park away from the library entrance so their patrons can get in/out. There’s a lot of street parking nearby.
This is no-drop. We will regroup as necessary so that folks new to gravel have a chance to enjoy it too! That said, this is a moderately challenging ride. Ramsey describes it this way: "The surfaces are reasonable nothing technical. There are 2 climbs at the start and a longer more gradual one later. The only really "hardish" climb is Waterford. "
Food stop is at Sweet Rose Bakeshop in Purcellville. If you haven’t tried it, you’re in for a treat! (There is also a bathroom)
If you're an experienced gravel rider, why don't you come help convert riders to this awesome riding style! If enough people enjoy it, the Ride Leader promises a longer route in the future.
The ride will not go if more than 50% chance of precipitation.
All riders must sign (or have already signed for 2022) a liability waiver. You can do that HERE. The first ride with us is free. We welcome you to join us on subsequent rides as a member. Membership is $25 per year and you can take care of that HERE.
Please come prepared with the route
Club members and first-time Non-Club members are welcome.
